Washington State Patrol Detectives booked and arrested a man from Burien suspected of attacking women in October and November near the Burien Transit Center.

The King County Prosecutor’s Office said the 42-year-old suspect lured his victims by offering them rides. He would then sexually assault and beat the women at knifepoint, according to probable cause documents.

Detectives said he even bit one of the victims.

The suspect is facing assault charges with sexual motivation.

In one case, he told the victim he was an Uber driver. Investigators believe the alleged suspect could be linked to other attacks.

Pierce County officers arrest, charge alleged ATM thief

After a lengthy investigation into a string of commercial burglaries and ATM thefts throughout the county, deputies from the Proactive Property Crimes Unit and Special Investigations Unit arrested 45-year-old Kevin Michael Woods.

Prosecutors said, on November 2, 2021, Woods broke into a bar in the 6800 block of 176th St E in South Hill. He stole a safe from the office and attempted to steal the ATM.

Investigators said the following day, Woods broke into a bar in the 16700 block of Pacific Ave S in Spanaway and stole an ATM.

Two weeks after those instances, Woods broke into a bar in the 30400 block of Mountain Hwy E between Graham and Eatonville. He attempted to steal an ATM and a coin machine.

Deputies said Woods is a suspect in other burglaries and thefts, and additional charges are expected to follow. In many of the burglaries, Woods used a unique, homemade pry bar and saw, captured on surveillance video.

Both of these items were found during a search of Woods’ vehicle.

Woods was also arraigned for a domestic violence assault warrant with bail, which was set at $50,000.
