Search for man who shot 5 people in Seattle continues

The search continues for the man who shot five people near a busy bus stop in Seattle near Third Avenue and Pine Street Wednesday night.
The five victims range in age from 20s to 50s and sustained wounds to their legs, chest and neck. The five victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Seattle Mayor: Latest shooting is “reminder of how much work we have left to do”
“There appears to be some type of argument that took place between some individuals,” said Seattle Assistant Police Chief Robert Merner. “The suspect began to a walk away from the crowd, turned and fired back into the crowd, striking those five individuals.”
Merner said at least one victim was likely a bystander.
KIRO 7 reports two victims are in serious condition, two are in satisfactory, and one has been discharged from Harborview.
Police have provided no additional details about a suspect.
Police had investigated an exchange of gunfire earlier in the day in Seattle that wounded two men, according to the Associated Press. There is no indication the two shootings are linked.
The area around Third and Pine was closed for hours for the investigation. It reopened around 9:45 p.m. The area on Third between Pike and Pine Streets has gained a reputation for violent incidents — some call it “Stab Alley.”

Sharon Keith, manager of the 7-Eleven, told The Seattle Times she heard what “sounded like firecrackers.” She told everyone to get on the ground and locked the doors. “I saw multiple people down, bleeding,” she told The Times.
Anti-Donald Trump protesters marched through the area not long before the shooting, but police say the protest is not related to the shooting. Marchers were reportedly three miles away from the scene of the shooting at the time of the incident.
Witness in building near 3rd & Pike says he thinks he heard “five gunshots, rapid succession. Screams immediately thereafter.”
