Tacoma police officers led one of their fallen through the streets he once protected on Friday.
Law enforcement personnel from agencies throughout the region took part in the processional Dec. 2 for Tacoma Police Officer Reginald “Jake” Gutierrez. The officer was fatally shot while on duty two days prior.
Fellow officers took Gutierrez from the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s office to a funeral home in Tacoma.
