Culture wars that are still being fought in America

The culture wars are real and they’re still going on. There are certain battles that are over, like gay marriage. That fight has been won. But we do need to be aware of the culture wars that are still being fought.

The recent issue of National Geographic has a cover story about transgender young people. One quote in the article had the young boy saying “the best thing about being a girl is now I don’t have to pretend to be a boy.” Are we choosing to ignore a biological truth?
Is it science or is it what is in your mind?
The American College of Pediatricians, a small group of pediatricians, has said that this amounts to pushing a political agenda over science at the risk of the well-being of innocent children. Their concern is medical and they are worried about the damage that can be done with these transgender treatments and medications.
And tied with the culture wars, studies show that liberal churches are shrinking and conservative churches are on the rise — meaning conservative doctrinally. The more tied to the original teachings, the larger the churches are growing.
It seems people want a home for traditional values. The doctrine that was originally taught is what people seek.
