Rantz: You’re all nuts. And I’m sorry too

Let me start off by saying you’re all mostly nuts. Plus, I’m sorry.

I’m not sorry for calling you mostly nuts. According to my Facebook and Twitter feeds, most of you are nuts. I’m sorry for not calling out the nuts on the Right nearly enough over the last eight years.

We’ve had plenty of nuts on the Right during President Barack Obama’s two terms. Some claimed there were secret death squads, while others said the administration was buying up as much ammunition as possible for … I’m not entirely sure. They were crazy stereotypes.

But eight years of Obama has shielded us from a harsh reality: the Left is just as insane.

Two blogs claim the Trump administration is floating a trial balloon for a coup d’etat and they’re spreading like wildfire. I sat at my laptop last night in shock as dope after dope was posting this, proclaiming to the world “I’m frightened.” You may be frightened, but you’re also crazy.

Both blogs say the same thing in different ways. Writing in Medium, Yonatan Zunger claims:

That is to say, the administration is testing the extent to which the DHS (and other executive agencies) can act and ignore orders from the other branches of government. This is as serious as it can possibly get: all of the arguments about whether order X or Y is unconstitutional mean nothing if elements of the government are executing them and the courts are being ignored.

Yesterday was the trial balloon for a coup d’état against the United States. It gave them useful information.

Meanwhile, Jake Fuentes, a proud Capitol One manager, writes in Medium in big crayon: “We’ve just tested the country’s willingness to capitulate to a fascist regime.”

Brilliant minds couldn’t see this sinister plot in action, but two bloggers writing for a site that gives voice to any moron with an Internet connection and a keyboard? They uncovered the secret truth behind Trump! And some of you are eating it up and polluting our social media feeds with your lunacy.

I apologize for not speaking up enough when Conservatives did this. It’s really easy to ignore it because when your side makes crazy claims, you’re already sympathetic to the ideological basis for their complaints and it doesn’t end up seeming that bad. But if anyone on the Left feels the way I do as I read these crazy, unhinged conspiracy theories, then I’m so sorry.
