Words have real meanings – words like ‘tyranny’ and ‘feminism’

Imagine that you find yourself in a circumstance where you or your children desperately need help. And there are a bunch of people walking by you but you cannot speak or move.
Or let’s imagine that you can say the word ‘help’ but no one can understand you. Maybe the word for ‘help’ no longer means anything.
This is why I put so much focus on words and the degradation of what they mean. Words have to retain their meanings.
The word tyranny and the word freedom should really mean something. So should the word feminism.
A female author, who was born a Muslim, Zana Ramadanim, has said that the Islamic faith oppresses women. And now she is being called out for saying that!
Ramadanim says that Islam oppresses women and the feminists in the Western World should realize that there are more oppressors against women than just powerful, white men. Ramadanim has even been kicked out of an organization she founded for holding these beliefs. Tyranny and feminism should be words that are made meaningful again.
We are told that it is Western society that is oppressing the world. But there is real slavery still happening in our present day. Real slavery! In the true meaning of the word.
Degradation of language is easy to miss but it is very, very dangerous, because if we lose the ability to call for help – what then.
