So President Donald Trump went out and said he doesn’t want poor people running the economy. Of course the media freaked out.

Poor, does not mean dumb. Some people just could care less about money. Now, I’ve never wanted to be poor because I grew up poor. But I never judge someone’s intelligence because they’re poor. I make a judgement about someone’s understanding of economics.

Our economy is extremely complex, partly because the government is involved in every nook and cranny.

My challenge to the president is I don’t want rich people to be running the economy either. I want honest people running the economy, not crony capitalists. I don’t want people who run the economy giving favors to big banks. We should not pay for big banks losses.

We need honest people, of means, to be running our nation’s economy.

As always, please listen to the full audio clip for complete context.
