UPDATE at 7:45 pm: An Amber Alert for a missing toddler from Mead, Washington (near Spokane) was cancelled a couple of hours after it was issued.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office tweeted around 7:30 p.m. that the baby girl and her father were both found safe.

Original story: Police have issued an Amber Alert for a missing toddler from Mead, Washington.

The 16-month-old girl may be traveling in a green, 1993 Ford Explorer with Washington license plates BFW5796.

Summer Fechner was taken by her father, according to law enforcement. David Reed, 37, has a history of drug abuse and bipolar activity.  Attempts to contact Reed have not been successful and police have concern for the child’s welfare.

Summer, described as a white female with brown hair and brown eyes, was last seen wearing a white, brown, and pink sundress. Reed is described as a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
