‘Moneyball’ author explains how people are gaming the stock market

A new book by “Moneyball” author Michael Lewis has sparked what some are calling the most intense news debates in years.
A discussion of Lewis’ book on CNBC was their most-viewed story ever and crashed their website with all the interest as the panel discussed what kind of shot the average investor has against the big guys.
In an appearance on KIRO Radio’s Dori Monson Show, Lewis said this isn’t the first time he’s seen this type of reaction to his work.
“It’s happened once before,” says Lewis. “It happened with ‘Moneyball.’ When ‘Moneyball’ came out it was about these people who were disrupting an industry and it sent the industry into a total uproar.”
His new book “Flash Boys” is giving a new perspective on the stock market industry in much the way “Moneyball” did for Major League Baseball.
