The return of Durandy-“It was pure Durandamonium”

Our new friend and local Duran Duran-imal Durandy is still coming down from the sheer ecstasy that was Friday’s Duran Duran show at the Comcast Arena in Everett.
“Oh my god, it was pure unadulterated Duran-damonium,” gushed Durandy in his review of the concert on Dori’s Monday show.
Listen to The return of Durandy, with a surprise reunion
He told us last week about his Duran Duran archives in Bellevue, the world’s largest collection of posters, recordings and other memorabilia. And he couldn’t say enough about the show (but he certainly tried.)
“I almost levitated! It was the perfect mix of sweat and spectacularity,” exclaimed Durandy effusively (with credit to Synonym.com.)
Alas, not everyone was quite as enthralled with the experience. Listener Larry in Everett sent an e-mail complaining he went to the concert based on Durandy’s overwhelming endorsement…and wrote “it was the worst concert I have ever seen!”
“I think he might have been on another planet because as far as I could see, everyone was on their feet screaming…It was like 1984!” responded Durandy.
Suffice it to say, it looks like things were a little rusty…not that it mattered to Durandy et al:
Dori and the rest of us have decided we are jealous of Durandy…not because of his musical tastes, but his passion.
“I wish I could get as excited about any night as you were about Friday night’s Duran Duran concert,” Dori told Durandy.
And there were plenty of surprises to boot. Durandy says he proposed to his fiance, and perhaps equally surprising, his fiance is a woman (despite an all too easy assumption to the contrary, Durandy is a raging heterosexual.)
