Treatment of black hole scientist was patronizing

I was surprised to hear your bit about Dr. Katie Bouman this afternoon, where you described her as “so cute” and “so excited” about science. I enjoy your show. Even when I don’t agree with you, I admire your well-crafted arguments. I enjoy thinking about things from a different perspective. And while I was not straight-out hoping for a “Girls will be Girls: Pioneering Intellectuals, Scientific Geniuses, Brightest Minds of our Time,” I would hope for something other than, “This kid is so cute, I want to pinch her to see her smile dimples … aww.”

Can we just celebrate the groundbreaking (or ‘space-breaking’) accomplishment?

Are Dori’s consonants behind the microphone problems?

I’m wondering if Dori is the wind screen killer … my subwoofers are getting a lot of “p” sounds. It must be impacting that new screen. Good luck.

A kindred spirit

I’ve been a contributor to society as a roofer for more than 35 years. Like you, I started working a real job at the age of 12. I really relate to you when it comes to learning how to figure things out like life’s curve balls without depending on other people to figure it out for you. I respect your beliefs on the idiots trying to destroy the constitution and tax the heck out of us. Keep up the great work. I’ve had Seahawks season tickets since 1997. I always listen to you guys before the game at the Touchdown City and listen to you after the game. I also listen to you as much as I can. I don’t text much because I’m a baby boomer, but I just had to say something to you because I think you’re pretty awesome. Peace out!

Inslee is doing better than we thought

Dori — you’re giving short shrift to Inslee. They’re rounding off numbers, which, math-wise, makes his popularity look like 0 percent. His real poll number(s) are more like 0.0003 percent … and holding steady!

Questionable song choice

I listen to your show all the time; I sometimes disagree, but that’s fine. However, today during a bit about a story involving a woman raping two underage boys, you played “Stacy’s Mom” in the background, effectively turning it into a joke. Play a funny song while reading a story about a man raping two underage girls, and maybe you’ll see this as inappropriate as I do.

‘What are the odds’ he enjoyed the show?

Thank you, I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation tonight. And thanks for being my friend, although you don’t know me personally. I am a 20-year-plus listener.

Are you a hypocrite?

Dori, I was traveling and listening to the podcast, so I didn’t get a chance to respond to your comment about Tiger Woods winning the Masters the other day. While you said you were happy that he won after all that he’s been through, you also mentioned that you actively root against him. This was due to his previously being married, with kids, and having sex with a porn star. You also mentioned, ‘like someone else.’ So my question is, do you actively root against Trump?

I’m not a Democrat or a socialist trying to trip you up over your words, I just want to know if you’re a hypocrite, since you despise hypocrisy so much. So, do you actively root against Trump as well, or is there some technicality you’re going to use to weasel your way out of this?
