Put a bird on it! Carrie Brownstein from Portlandia on Seattle Sounds

Jan 8, 2012, 12:06 PM | Updated: 1:09 pm

Guitar goddess Carrie Brownstein of Sleater-Kinney has gotten even more
popular thanks to her hit TV show Portlandia. She joins Josh Kerns, Chris
Kornelis from Seattle Weekly and DJ Marco Collins to take us inside the cult
comedy classic and talks about the differences between Seattle and Portland
hipster culture, along with going from rock star to TV star.

We’ll also talk about all the bands and artists that have fled Seattle and other
cities for the Rose City, and listen to some of our favorites. And we’ve got the
tracks turning our cranks this week.

Seattle
Sounds
airs Sunday at 3pm on 97-3 KIRO FM and on demand at
MyNorthwest.com.
