Courtney Love should surprise us by acting normal

Viral videos are sure great for informing us on how to calm down our adorable babies, see the biggest surf the biggest wave of all time, watch animals do crazy-cute things, and inform us of anytime Courtney Love freaks out on stage.

She freaked out on stage again this weekend.

This time it was in Brazil. Courtney Love reportedly said that she could use a certain derogatory word for homosexuals because she’s “a gay icon” but not before she walked off stage in the middle of her set to pout, she freaked out over a fan’s photo of Kurt Cobain.

It probably wasn’t a good idea to bring his photo to a show and wave it in front of the clearly unstable Love, but both sides of this argument have something to learn from this incident. The fan was guilty of not being married to Kurt Cobain, as she was. Duh, fan of 1990s rock, didn’t you know that only Courtney could feel an affinity for Kurt Cobain? Yes, he was a deliverer of adolescent angst for millions of teenagers back then, but Courtney was married to him and is over your fandom.

Love then lashes out at Dave Grohl. Maybe the world needs to issue an apology to Courtney Love: We’re sorry that the Foo Fighters have received more mainstream acclaim (and critical acclaim) than you, but Dave knew Kurt too. So please don’t get mad at people for knowing your husband when he was alive. It’s good people did know him. Including his fans.

Warning: Courtney swears a little.
