He said he was falling in love with his daughter-in-law, Susan Cox-Powell, before she disappeared. Now, it turns out Steven Powell sang of “secret” love as well.

In an interview with ABC News, Susan’s father-in-law, Steven Powell, said he was falling in love with the missing woman.

“Susan was very, very sexual with me. She was very flirtatious. I’m her 3a7482f2-f11c-4cc9-b6be-f3cd62f6562dfather-in-law. She would do a lot of things that would….she did a lot of things. She did it. I did it. We interacted in a lot of sexual ways,” Powell said.

Steven was asked if he loved Susan. “That’s pretty likely, yeah. I would say so. There’s no question in my mind that the feelings were mutual.”

Steven’s stage name is Steve Chantrey, and he sings of forbidden, as well as other, loves.

Listen to Steven Powell, aka Steve Chantrey, gets creepier

Despite claims he had some kind of sexual relationship with Susan Powell, a close friend of the missing Puyallup mom tells our Dori Monson that is a lie.

Kiirsi Helewell, who met the couple when they first moved to Utah, said that Susan did not have anything close to that type of relationship with her father-in-law.

“It is a total lie. Susan would never ever allow her father-in-law to touch her. She hated him. She told me many times that she hated him. She could not stand him. She only put up with visiting him when they went to Washington to visit their families because it was Josh’s family and he deserved to spend time with his family.”

West Valley City, Utah detectives searched the Puyallup home of Joshua Powell, and his father on Thursday. They are looking for evidence relating to the disappearance of Josh’s wife Susan, who has been missing since December, 2009.

Steven Powell is not a suspect in his daughter-in-law’s disappearance.
