Jun 30, 2019, 6:35 AM

Former Vice President Joe Biden made two stops in Seattle Saturday. Biden went to the home of public relations executive Roger Nyhus.

Nyhus posted a picture on Facebook of his home decorated with Pride flags, with the caption, “Getting ready to welcome Vice President Joe Biden to Seattle’s White House on Pride weekend.”

“I think this election is about restoring the soul of our country. I really can’t imagine a better candidate to do that,” Nyhus said.

Biden made the sentiment that gay rights issues have come far in a short period of time.

Biden also criticized the president while speaking at the event.

He said President Trump is responsible for dividing America, specifically referencing the president’s comments that there were quote “good people on both sides” during a racist march in Charlottesville.
He also said Trump has cozied up to authoritarian foreign leaders like Vladimir Putin.

Biden talked about restoring hope to the middle class who are worried about job losses through automation and other factors. His speech lasted 30 minutes.

Ticket prices for the event ranged from $1,000 to $2,800.

Biden was also scheduled to cross Lake Washington to visit the home of former Microsoft President Jon Shirley.
