Major rain and wind to hit the Northwest this week

The National Weather Service Forecast is issuing a heads up about major rain and wind storms that could hit the Puget Sound region over the weekend.
There are no current watches or warnings in effect, yet. But meteorologists expect considerable rainfall to pass through the Puget Sound region from Nov. 11-15, flooding the region with rain over the weekend, swelling rivers and streams, and bringing along some hefty winds.

The weather services’ top concerns are heavy rain and flooding, and it notes that nearly any river and stream in the region could flood.
The weather service expects more than 36 hours of significant wind to hit the region, especially in Kalaloch on Washington’s coast and more inland toward Everett.
The northern area of the Puget Sound could experience 30-45 MPH winds with gust up to 55-65 MPH. South of Everett, 20-35 MPH winds and 40-55 MPH gusts are likely.
