Could a child’s toy with the wrong sounds be a simple mistake?

The sounds of an F-16 fighter jet were missing from a toy given to a Bellingham boy for Christmas, instead being replaced by an Islamic prayer.
KING 5 reports the toy, purchased from Amazon, was blasting what sounds like a prayer. The toy’s manufacturer is blaming its factor for the error.
The president of the Islamic Society of Whatcom County told KING 5 the sound is a Muslim prayer, spoken while on pilgrimages to Mecca.
KIRO Radio’s John Curley and Jim Dever wonder how something like this can happen.
John Curley: The war on Christmas continues. Nice to know the war is not over even though Christmas may be over.
Jim Dever: I’m perplexed – disappointed – on all fronts. Response from the Muslim community has also been disappointment. They’re not sure where this came from or why it ended up in a child’s toy. The parent of the child is saying, well, that’s not what we were expecting when we ordered it from Amazon. So they’ve asked Amazon to refund their money or replace the toy.
JC: I would assume what happens is: somebody does it as a joke, like, hey, we gotta have some sound in there. But unfortunately nobody beta tests it and it makes its way out into the market place.
JD: I always wonder when you here about these sorts of things. The doll that says some sort of obscene thing, or whatever. How does that happen? Is there somebody in a factory who is disgruntled and thinks, ‘Oh this will be great;’ you know on the last day on their job they say, ‘I’m going to put an Islamic prayer in this plane.’
JC: And they’re able to enjoy it later on.
JD: I’d love to know how it got in there though.
