3.4 magnitude earthquake shakes Fall City

A 3.2 magnitude earthquake woke up people around Fall City, Washington Saturday morning.

The quake started at 7:38 a.m., according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network. It measured at a depth of about 10.6 miles below the earth’s surface. Originally, the PNSN reported the magnitude was 3.4. It’s since been downgraded.

Fall City is the nearest city, but the quake was centered about 4.5 miles northeast of the town.

About three hours earlier, a 2.3 magnitude earthquake was measured in almost the same location, with a depth of 10.25 miles.
