Just minutes after 1,200 NFC Championship game tickets went on sale, they were sold out, according to the Seahawks. Many of those in line were awarded wristbands Monday night.

Team representatives handed out numbered wristbands to the nearly 500 fans in line, and told them to go home.

The Seahawks play Green Bay for the NFC Championship Sunday.

The first person in line arrived at the box office Sunday morning.

The second in line, Craig, said, “I thought well, I’ll get my coffee and drive down here (to CenturyLink Field) and see what’s going on.”

Just in case, Craig had packed his sleeping bag and his tent in the back of his truck. When he arrived at the box office window, he saw another man outside.

“There was one guy standing here, staring at the building. I asked him what he was doing he said, ‘I think I’m going to stay and get tickets.’ So, I went back to my truck, got my tent, threw it on the cement, and I said, ‘I’m here with you.'”

The NFC Championship game kicks off at CenturyLink Field on Sunday Jan. 18 at noon.
