Both suspects in a fatal drive-by shooting on New Year’s Eve in Seattle’s Rainier Valley were arrested Friday afternoon.

Police say a gunman in an SUV shot a man in the chest on the corner of Rainier Avenue S. and S. Kenyon Street around 8 p.m. on Dec. 31. The suspects sped away from the scene.

The victim later died at Harborview Medical Center.

The two suspects, 19 and 22 years old, were tracked down and taken into custody in Tacoma. They were both booked into King County Jail on investigation of homicide.

Additionally, Seattle police say officers have arrested three suspects in connection with a recent drive-by shootings in Southeast Seattle.

Prosecutors have charged all three people with investigation of drive-by shooting and issued arrest warrants for the 16, 17 and 19-year-old suspects.
