All lanes of northbound Interstate 5 were closed for about two hours Friday morning after a woman jumped off an overpass at Northgate.
Police say the woman who jumped was killed instantly.
State troopers received several reports of collisions at the scene. No drivers were injured in the crashes and only one car sustained minor damage.
KIRO Radio traffic reporter Chris Sullivan said there was heavy congestion on alternate routes, such as I-405 and SR-99.
All lanes of I-5 were reopened around 8 a.m.
