For decades, Liz Kearns has been behind the scenes, working persistantly to make the Licton Springs neighborhood in North Seattle a better, and more beautiful, place to live. She’s a gardener and horticulturalist who has used her unique skill set and knowledge about our native plants to help revitalize her local neighborhood park.

As a past president of her community council and a forest steward with the Green Seattle Partnership, Liz is a tireless advocate for her community and inspires her neighbors to be the same.

Because of her selfless dedication to her Seattle community, KIRO Radio and WSECU are proud to honor Liz Kearns as a Hometown Hero.
