Series of small earthquakes cap off busy 24 hours in Fall City

A 3.5 magnitude earthquake was measured near Fall City Wednesday evening. A second 3.0 magnitude earthquake hit Fall City Thursday morning, followed by a 2.5 magnitude quake hours later.

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network reported the first earthquake happened around 7:10 p.m., felt by roughly 1,300 people. It was recorded at a depth of 10.5 miles. The second occurred around 4:41 a.m., was felt by 307 people, and occurred just over three miles northeast of Fall City.

The third was felt later on the in the morning, reported by 32 people.

As many as three other tremors as small as 1.4 magnitude were also felt near Fall City through Thursday morning.

KIRO 7 reports people in Granite Falls, Bothell, North Bend, Issaquah, Snoqualmie and Lynnwood could feel shaking.
