Western Washington saw another round of snow Tuesday, with a brief period of accumulation in the late morning hours.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures dropped low enough for snow to fall and accumulate “anywhere in the lowlands away from the water.”

Snow is changing over to rain in the lowlands as a southerly wind moves in. Forecasters say western Whatcom and Skagit counties could see a few gusts of 30-35 mph near the water.

Light snow was sighted across Seattle, Bellevue, Renton, Shoreline, and more. Snow began turning to rain around 1:40 p.m.

Most precipitation across the lowlands is expected to turn into rain by 6 p.m. Tuesday, although “hills above 500-700 feet north of Everett may see snow into the evening hours.”
