All lanes of NB I-5 near Mercer ramp reopened after major collision

All lanes of northound I-5 near the Mercer Street off-ramp have been reopened, after a multi-vehicle collision late Wednesday morning.
Backups initially began just north of Olive Way, and extended all the way to Boeing field. The incident caused “major delays” according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Northbound I-5 has been reduced to a single right lane north of Olive Way as @SeattleFire works. The backup extends to Boeing Field. This is causing major delays north through #Seattle.

Seattle Fire responders worked to save a driver trapped in their vehicle, pinned against a concrete barrier. Crews removed the roof and doors to safety extricate them. Two total patients are being transported to the hospital, as crews return to service to clear the road.
