Sammamish woman convicted of killing 2 in DUI crash arrested for drinking

The woman who killed her husband and son-in-law after driving drunk through her dining room is back in jail again for alleged intoxication.
Carol Fedigan, 69, of Sammamish, pleaded guilty to two charges of vehicular homicide in July. Fedigan mixed sleeping pills and wine before she attempted to move her Jeep into her driveway in May 2014. With her 3-year-old grandson on her lap, she fully accelerated through her dining room where her son-in-law and husband sat. She drove through to the back patio of the home. Her husband and son died as a result of the crash.
Fedigan has been awaiting a sentencing date for late October, according to The Seattle Times. She faced a recommended six years in prison, followed by a year of home monitoring.
Fedigan was outfitted with a bracelet that monitored her alcohol consumption. A condition of her release until sentencing was that she refrain from drinking alcohol. On Oct. 5, the Times reports, the bracelet notified authorities that she was consuming alcohol and continued to do so until Oct. 6. Her blood-alcohol level reached .16; the legal limit is .08.
