Snohomish and Pierce Counties have officially been approved by the Washington Department of Health to move into Phase 2 of reopening. King County also received approval Friday to move into a “modified” Phase 1.

In Phase 2, Snohomish and Pierce Counties will be allowed to reopen dine-in service at restaurants with 50% capacity, as well as barbershops, salons, tattoo parlors, and in-store retail. This will be effective immediately.

King County’s modified Phase 1 allows it to reopen dine-in service at restaurants at 25% capacity, with outdoor dining at 50%. In-store retail in King County will also be able to resume at 15% capacity. Barbershops, salons, nail salons, and tattoo parlors will be allowed to operate at 25% capacity.

Just five counties remain in a standard Phase 1. Twenty-six are in Phase 2, and seven have been approved to move into Phase 3.

This is a developing story — stay tuned for more details as they arrive
