Seattle police have arrested a 19-year-old man for a massive graffiti spree at Gas Works Park early Monday.

SPD Graffiti Detective Chris Young tracked the man to a home near the park after receiving a tip, says Seattle police spokesman Drew Fowler.

The teen, who has a history of vandalism, admitted to Young he began spray painting walls in the park after his 19th birthday party “got out of hand.”

The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Malicious Mischief.

Detectives are continuing their investigation and seeking other suspects in the case, Fowler says.
