Suspect in stabbing shot and killed by King County Sheriff’s deputies

King County Sheriff’s deputies shot and killed a suspect in Shoreline early Thursday morning, responding to a 911 call related to a stabbing.

The incident occurred when a 62-year-old man was out walking his dog and noticed someone following him. The suspect, a man in his 20s, stabbed the victim and his dog.

Officers arrived at the scene, later receiving reports from another victim the suspect allegedly attempted to stab as well.

The suspect was soon located near an apartment complex. After a confrontation with police, the suspect was shot and killed. No officers were harmed. At this time, there appears to be no motive for the stabbing.

The 62-year-old victim is currently is in stable condition at Harborview Medical Center. The dog, a German Shepherd, is being treated at a local veterinary clinic.

Part of North 175th Street near the Linden Highland Apartments had been closed off for an investigation by Seattle police at the scene.
