The Seattle Police Department issued a dispersal order around 11 p.m. Wednesday night after protesters, officers, and State Patrol faced off during what was a peaceful vigil near Eastlake.

KIRO Radio’s Hanna Scott reports that several businesses were damaged and at least three people arrested in a pair of protests in Seattle on Wednesday. Earlier in the evening, on Capitol Hill, at least two people were taken into custody when several businesses were damaged, including a Key Bank.

At least one person was taken into custody in the Eastlake neighborhood where the Every Day March had gathered in front of a State Patrol building for a vigil for Summer Taylor, who was hit and killed by a driver in a July march on I-5.

The group got upset Wednesday when the SPD showed up in riot gear for what they said was a peaceful vigil, and then started towing cars belonging to the group.

The SPD asked protesters to move west or north from the 1000 block of Roanoke. The police have not yet released details on the arrests.

This is a developing story.
