A rescue effort Sunday night saved an injured hiker at Mount Si.
King County officials say the hiker fell and suffered serious injuries. He is recovering at Harborview Medical Center.
The hiker was stranded for most of Sunday evening.
The hiker is part of a group that is training to climb Mt. Rainer in July.
Officials said Sunday evening it was too windy for the rescue helicopter to go to the top of the mountain, so they had to rescue him on foot.
Over 40 hikers were hiking in to where the man was stuck — to help hoist him out.
