In the days following Oso’s deadly mudslide, citizens have been searching for their friends and family buried under the debris.
After several days of around-the-clock digging, one group found a way to honor the victims. They used their saws to limb one of the only trees, a Cedar, left standing on the debris field.
They assembled a pulley system and raised an American flag at half staff. Once it was raised, the crew recited the Lord’s Prayer.
After the somber moment, the chainsaws fired back up and the crews resumed searching for their friends.
