Boeing accelerates timeline for fuel efficient 737 MAX

Boeing secured a lot more work for Renton Wednesday in Paris, and it stepped up its timeline for delivering the 737 MAX.
Boeing is closing down its work at the Paris Air Show with an accelerated schedule on the MAX. The company announced Tuesday plans to deliver the first 737 MAX to Southwest Airlines in the third quarter of 2017, about four months ahead of the current schedule.
It secured more orders for the fuel-efficient and latest version of the world’s most popular plane: 30 from CIT Aerospace and three for Travel Service.
Boeing also announced orders from Ryan Air and Oman Air for a total of 180 737 N-G’s.
