Local fire department responders were “fully involved” battling a fire at Egg and Us, an Issaquah restaurant in Gilman Village, early Wednesday morning.
Eastside Fire & Rescue classified its efforts as “defensive,” as it worked to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring buildings.

Wednesday morning’s fire led to the roof of the building collapsing.
This was the second time Eastside Fire has responded to a fire at the restaurant in as many days, after encountering “high heat and heavy smoke” in the building’s kitchen area on Tuesday.
It’s unclear at this time whether the two fires are linked in any way. An investigator at the scene “will begin work to determine the cause” of Wednesday morning’s fire.
This is a developing story — we will provide more details as they become available
