It’s not too late to opt out of the upcoming phone book delivery in Seattle.

The deadline is May 6 if you wish to use www.YellowPagesOptOut. You can choose which directories you’d like or simply stop phone book delivery altogether. If you miss the May deadline, your request will apply to the next delivery cycle.

“Seattle residents who don’t want Yellow Pages directories have the ability to opt-out of delivery at www.YellowPagesOptOut.com,” said Ray Hoffman, director of Seattle Public Utilities.

The City of Seattle encourages residents not interested in getting the books to opt out so as to reduce waste.

“Yellow Pages publishers have nothing to gain by delivering unwanted directories,” said Neg Norton, president of the Local Search Association.
