Police say a fleeing car crashed into a house early Thursday morning at Lake Stevens killing a passenger.

An officer tried to pull over the car on Highway 9 for driving erratically when it sped off at more than 100 miles per hour.

KING 5 reports the car was going at least 90 mph when it hit the house around 3 a.m.

The passenger died at the scene. The driver who had to be cut out of the car was taken to a hospital. Police are investigating the incident as a vehicular homicide.

No one inside the house was hurt, but the crash knocked one person out of bed.
