Argument over apartment parking leaves one man dead, three arrested

An argument over parking ended with one man dead and three others jailed in Lakewood.
Lieutenant Chris Lawler with Lakewood Police said four men got into an argument with an apartment resident over parking spots.
“They came back and they maybe tried to get into this person’s apartment with a knife, trying to start a fight,” said Lawler. “Somebody inside this apartment pulled a gun, and shot this group, hitting one of the guys.”
The man died at the hospital.
Lawler said the three others were arrested for burglary and assault.
Police interviewed the man who fired the gun but did not arrest him. It could be a self-defense case.
