A man in his 20s is dead following an argument, shooting, and crash Friday night in Federal Way.

Officials said officers responded after 8:30 p.m. to a collision near the 35300 block of 21st Avenue Southwest and upon arrival, it was revealed that a shooting might have led to the crash.

Investigators determined that an altercation had occurred, involving two vehicles going west on Southwest 356th Street.

Police said at some point, the people in one vehicle had fired a gun at the driver of another vehicle near 21st Avenue. The driver who was shot at then crashed and died. But it is not known if the driver died from gunshot wounds or the crash.

The other vehicle fled the scene.

Police did not say what led to the argument and are working to track down the suspects.
