Woman arrested after trying to dance, sing her way out of bar tab

Jan 31, 2013, 10:25 AM | Updated: 10:41 am

A Seattle woman decided instead of paying her bar tab, she would dance and sing her way out of it. She instead danced her way into jail.

Police say Tuesday night when the woman’s credit card didn’t work at the Hotel Deca bar in the University District, she quickly became upset and threw a pitcher at the bartender, hitting a person nearby.

Police say the incident didn’t stop there.

“She then proceeded to grab a full pitcher of beer and poured it over herself as she began to dance and sing,” says Seattle Police Detective Mark Jamieson.

Jamieson says while trying to get her in a squad car, the woman slapped one officer and kicked another one.

She’s now being investigated for felony assault, along with several other misdemeanors.
