Amid Dreamliner woes, Boeing reports record revenues

For Boeing, 2012 was a record year. The company’s 4th quarter earnings were released Wednesday.
Boeing made $13 billion more in 2012 than in did in 2011.
The company is reporting a record $81.7 billion in revenue for the year.
Boeing is projecting that it will break that record this year with revenues as high as $85 billion, and it’s telling investors it’s assuming no significant financial impact from the grounding of its entire 787 fleet.
CEO Jim McNerney says the top priority is fixing the battery issue with the Dreamliner and getting the planes back in the air.
Boeing delivered a record 601 commercial airplanes last year. It expects to deliver up to 645 this year, but that includes 60 Dreamliners which aren’t being delivered during the grounding.
