A 36-year-old woman has been booked into the King County Jail for investigation of murder after deputies responded to a home near 1700 block of 264th Ave NE in Redmond for an aid call and found her 16-month-old son deceased.
On Saturday around 3:30 pm, King County Sheriff Deputies responded to an AED request. The male caller told 911 communications that his 16-month-old son was not breathing and that others in the home were attempting CPR.
Officers and medics arrived shortly after and attempted to revive the infant but were unsuccessful.
During the investigations, deputies uncovered evidence that the infant boy’s 36-year-old mother had possibly caused the injuries that led to his death.
King County Sheriff Major Crimes Detectives will be investigating the incident and are trying to determine the events leading up to the death of the infant.
