2 killed, 4 injured when tree falls on SUV near Stevens Pass

Two people were killed and four others injured when a tree fell onto their Chevy Suburban on Eastbound Highway 2 about 21 miles west of Leavenworth near Stevens Pass, the Washington State Patrol reports.
Troopers say 58-year-old Timothy Desmond Owen and 56-year-old Cheryl Janine Reed, both from Bothell, were pronounced dead at the scene. Four others in the vehicle were injured an transported to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. Their conditions were not known.
