Warning to procrastinators: Shipping deadline is near

If you’re truly a procrastinator, you could probably wait one more day. But Saturday is absolutely the last day to ship a package in time for a Christmas arrival.
“That’s our last day packages are going to be picked up and they may have a chance at being delivered by Christmas,” said John Leaty, owner of the UPS Store in Mill Creek. This is his 20th Christmas shipping season.
The shipping rush peaked earlier this week. Now, come the desperate. Leaty has one regular customer, a procrastinator who regularly pulls up on the last shipping day in his SUV loaded with packages.
“It’s amazing. Every year, the tailgate of the SUV goes up and we just can’t believe what he’s going to ask us to do in such a short time,” laughed Leaty.

To save money and reduce stress, Leaty suggests you procrastinators consider who is getting your gift. An adult might not care if it arrives a few days after Christmas but if it’s a little kid, he recommends you pay the extra freight and get the gift there on time.
