“Do you have the time?”

That’s the simple phrase Seattle police say a group of robbers asked their victims before stealing cell phones, wallets, cameras and iPods — sometimes at gunpoint.

The Seattle Police Department is calling them time bandits.

The group is responsible for at least nine robberies in South Seattle between December 4th and December 11th.

Police have yet to catch these suspects. They’re asking people to be careful if someone stops you on the street even if they just want to know what time it is.
