A Seattle judge has issued two arrest warrants for comedian Katt Williams after he failed to show up for his arraignment Wednesday morning.
The Seattle Times reports William’s attorney told the judge that the comedian’s management team called him early in the morning to say he couldn’t get on a flight because of a medical issue.
The judge wants more details. He found probable cause to hold Williams on three misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree assaults.
Williams failed to show up for his arraignment on Dec. 6. Apparently he was confused about whether he had to be in court if his attorney was there to represent him. The judge rescheduled.
Williams is accused of hitting a man with a microphone at one of his shows at the Paramount theater in Seattle last week and getting aggressive with police after causing a disturbance at the World Sports Grille in Seattle. (Read more about the accusations.)
The Times says Williams was arrested Friday in Northern California on a warrant out of Sacramento.
