Wildlife officials are searching for a coyote that appears to be sick in Seattle’s Volunteer Park.
The Capitol Hill blog says there have been reports the animal has gone after at least one dog in the area.
Coyotes are reportedly not uncommon in urban areas. KING 5 reports there are around 50,000 in Washington state.
But this coyote exhibits signs that it is not well, and with its continued presence around such a popular area, wildlife officials don’t want to take any chances.
According to KING 5, federal wildlife workers are planning to shoot the animal.
