A series of reckless driving incidents Friday morning culminated with a U-Haul truck driving into a garage in Edmonds.

Calls began coming in around 5:50 a.m., according to Edmonds police. Reports include the truck crashing into a fence, speeding, and reckless driving.

Before officers arrived to the area, a resident called to report the truck had slammed into their house in the 7600 block of 200th Street SW. The truck crashed into the garage, causing “significant damage” to both the building and truck.

Residents of the home were not injured. The driver, a 23-yard-old Edmonds woman, was taken to Swedish Hospital for evaluation.

Police suspect the driver was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.

Since the crash, police have found additional damage to property in the area.
