Metro bus driver tackles man hassling, assaulting people at bus stop

A Metro bus driver stepped up to help detain a man harassing and assaulting people at the Northgate Transit Center on Wednesday.
Seattle police report the driver ended up tackling a man that had punched, kicked and spit on people at the bus stop.
The incident began with the man harassing two women sitting at the stop. When bystander tried to intervene, the suspect turned on him and demanded his wallet. Another bystander then stepped in and was punched in the face and kicked in the leg.
The incident came to a head after the bus driver witnessed the man spitting on two women.
Seattle police report the driver tackled the suspect and held him on the ground until police arrived.
The suspect was booked into the King County for robbery and assault.
