If haven’t registered to vote, today-Monday October 8-is your last chance to register online in time to cast your ballot in the Nov. 6 general election.

In order to register, you must be:

* A citizen of the United States

* A legal resident of Washington state

* At least 18 years old by election day

* Not under the authority of the Department of Corrections external link

* Not disqualified from voting due to a court order external link

In the state of Washington, you do not have to register by political party or declare political party membership to vote in the state’s regular primaries or general elections.

First-time Washington State voters can also register in-person at local county election office until October 29.
