UPDATE Tuesday at 8:33 p.m. — The Lewiston Police Department has canceled the Amber Alert after the teen and suspect were found in the Spokane Valley Tuesday night, according to KTVB.

State troopers located the stolen vehicle with the suspect in the driver’s seat and teen in the passenger’s seat. After a pursuit, troopers caught up with them and arrested the suspect. The teen is safe and undergoing a medical evaluation.

Police in Idaho have issued an Amber Alert for a missing 15-year-old girl from Lewiston who may be in the rural area of Columbia County. On Tuesday, police said the victim and a suspect are believed to be traveling in a stolen Chevy Trailblazer.

Lillian R. Dixon is with 36-year-old Jonathan Bowles of Pomeroy, according to police. He is believed to have cultivated a relationship with the teen and convinced her to evade capture. Bowles is a noncompliant level II sex offender registered in Garfield County.

Initially, the pair was thought to be traveling on foot in the area, but police said a maroon 2007 Trailblazer was stolen overnight in Pomeroy. They suspect Dixon and Bowles are in the vehicle.

The Trailblazer has a Washington license plate: BKA0197.

Police say Bowles may be armed and should be considered dangerous.

Dixon, reportedly last seen at Lewiston High School Friday afternoon, is described as a white female with brown eyes and brown hair. She’s 5’2″ tall and weighs 100 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black and white stocking cap, black and white jacket with an “8” on the back, black shirt, jeans, and brown and blue cowboy boots. She was also carrying a yellow and blue backpack.

Bowles is described as a white male with blue eyes and brown hair. He’s 6’2″ tall and weighs 235 pounds. He has scars on his right elbow and right forearm.

If you see Dixon and/or Bowles or the Trailblazer, please call 911.
